The demand for aluminum electrolytic capacitors for AC servo motors, servo amplifiers, and general-purpose inverters has been brisk. With aluminum electrolytic capacitors, sales of high voltage products and compact and highly reliable products have been strong. Sales increased significantly from the company's initial plan. Moreover, factory production is running at full capacity. On the back of strong demand and the market expansion in the future, the company has been investing in plants and equipment at its plants in Japan and overseas in order to boost its production capacity for large aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

The company expects comparable growth in the second half of FY2017. Orders for special resistors and module products for industrial automation (IA)-related applications have been increasing, according to the company.

IRISO Electronics Co., Ltd. saw a significant increase in sales of components for the industrial market (including industrial equipment) in the first half of FY2017, posting ¥1.087 billion, an increase of 45.8 percent from the same period of the previous year. With the favorable FA market as a tailwind, sales of connectors for programmable controllers, servo amplifiers and inverters increased significantly.
