The R&D activities of Japan Aviation Electronics Industry Limited (JAE) for FY2016 focuses on the development of connectors and various sensors, such as touch sensors and acceleration meters, for automobiles, mobile devices, and industrial equipment and infrastructure; fundamental technologies for manufacturing; and analysis technologies, all of which the company considers vital and relate to reliability evaluation. Nichicon Corporation promotes R&D targeting main themes of Nichicon Energy-Control System Technology (NECST) products, including aluminum electrolytic capacitors and film capacitors for automotive electronics and vehicles, industrial equipment and power electronics; home-use and public and industrial-use energy storage systems; next-generation vehicle-related devices; and accelerator power supplies for medical use.
